OTT Navigator runs on Android phones, tablets and TVs, and the official WireGuard app is the simplest VPN for OTT Navigator on all of them. WireGuard covers every app on the device while its tunnel is on, or only the apps you choose. This guide shows both, starting with a phone, where the setup takes a minute.
What you need
- OTT Navigator on an Android phone, tablet or TV.
- The official WireGuard app.
- An active IPTV VPN plan. Each plan covers up to 3 devices at the same time.
On a phone or tablet
1Install WireGuard
Install the official WireGuard app from Google Play. On a device without Google Play, use Download APK File on wireguard.com/install.
2Show your QR code
Sign in to your IPTV VPN account, open Subscriptions and open your VPN subscription. The Your VPN card holds your VPN username and password, an OpenVPN file (.ovpn) for each server location and a WireGuard setup for each device number.
Open your account on another screen, such as a computer, and pick a free device number. Its QR code appears on the card.
3Scan it
In WireGuard, tap the plus button, then Scan from QR code, and point the camera at the code. Give the tunnel a name you will recognise.
If you only have the phone, press Download .conf on it instead and choose Import from file or archive in WireGuard.
4Switch it on
Switch the tunnel on and allow the VPN connection when Android asks. A key symbol in the status bar shows that the VPN is running. Then open OTT Navigator.
On an Android TV
A TV has no camera, so use the file. Open your account in the TV's browser, pick a different device number from your phone's and press Download .conf. In WireGuard on the TV, add a tunnel from a file; the exact menu name differs by app version on a TV screen. Switch it on, then open OTT Navigator.

Cover OTT Navigator only
Sometimes you want the VPN for OTT Navigator and nothing else, for example on a phone where your banking app should use your normal connection. WireGuard for Android can do that:
- Open the tunnel in WireGuard and choose Edit.
- Find the application setting, which shows All Applications by default.
- Choose Include only and tick OTT Navigator.
- Save and switch the tunnel on.
Now only OTT Navigator uses the VPN. Exclude does the opposite: everything uses the VPN except the apps you tick.
Start with the device
On a TV, turn on Restore on boot in the WireGuard settings, so the tunnel comes back after a restart. On a phone you can simply switch the tunnel on when you want to watch.
Why a VPN for OTT Navigator?
Your internet provider can see your traffic and may slow down video it recognises. With the VPN for OTT Navigator on, your provider only sees encrypted traffic to our server, so your streams cannot be singled out. On café or hotel Wi-Fi, your logins stay encrypted too.
Server location: Netherlands. Pick the location closest to you for the shortest path.
If something does not work
- OTT Navigator shows errors with the VPN on. Close it, switch the tunnel off and on, open it again.
- The QR code will not scan. Make the code larger on the screen, or use the .conf file.
- Two devices keep dropping. They share a device number. Give each its own.
- Nothing connects on one network. Some networks block VPN connections. See stealth mode.

Every plan has the same features and differs only in length: 1 month for €5, 3 months for €14, 6 months for €25 or 12 months for €45. Prices as of October 2026, from €3.75 a month. Each plan covers up to 3 devices at the same time and includes the OpenVPN profile for IPTV apps and WireGuard for TVs, phones and computers, plus stealth mode for networks that block VPN connections.
