A VPN on Windows covers every app on the computer: your IPTV player, the browser and anything else. There are two ways to set it up with your IPTV VPN account. The official WireGuard app needs only a file and one click. OpenVPN Connect uses your .ovpn file and your VPN username and password. This guide covers both, starting with WireGuard.
What you need
- A Windows computer.
- An active IPTV VPN plan. Each plan covers up to 3 devices at the same time.
- Your files from the account: sign in to your account, open Subscriptions and open your VPN subscription. The Your VPN card holds your VPN username and password, an OpenVPN file (.ovpn) for each server location and a WireGuard setup for each device number.
Way 1: WireGuard
1Install WireGuard
Download the Windows installer from wireguard.com/install and run it. It is the official app from the WireGuard project.
2Download your tunnel file
In your account, pick a free device number for this computer and press Download .conf. The file lands in your Downloads folder.
3Import the tunnel
Open WireGuard and click Import tunnel(s) from file. Pick the .conf file. The tunnel appears in the list on the left.
4Activate
Select the tunnel and click Activate. The status turns to active and your VPN on Windows is running. Start your IPTV player.
To stop the VPN, click Deactivate.
The kill-switch option
When you edit a tunnel in WireGuard for Windows, there is a box called Block untunneled traffic (kill-switch). With it ticked, the computer does not send traffic outside the tunnel while the tunnel is active. Leave it as the app sets it unless you know you need a change.
Way 2: OpenVPN Connect
If you prefer OpenVPN, use the .ovpn file:
- Install OpenVPN Connect from OpenVPN's website.
- In your account, press Download next to a server location to save the .ovpn file.
- In OpenVPN Connect, open the Menu, then My Profiles, click the add icon and choose Upload File. On Windows you can also drag the file into the app or double click it.
- Enter the VPN username and password from the Your VPN card and connect.
Both ways protect the whole computer. WireGuard needs no username and password once the file is imported.
Which IPTV players does it cover?
Every app on the computer uses the VPN on Windows while it is on. That includes desktop IPTV players and IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows. If you use IPTV Smarters Pro, you can also import the .ovpn file into its own VPN section instead; see the IPTV Smarters Pro guide.
One computer, one device number
A VPN on Windows uses one WireGuard device number per computer. If you use a laptop and a desktop, give each its own device number in your account, and import each file on its own computer. A file imported on two computers makes them push each other off the connection.
Picture and connection tips
- A network cable is the steadiest connection for a desktop computer.
- A VPN cannot make your internet faster than your plan. It helps when your provider slows down streaming it recognises.
- Server location: Netherlands. Pick the location closest to you.
If something does not work
Most problems with a VPN on Windows come down to one of these:
- Import tunnel(s) from file shows an error. Download a fresh .conf file. Do not open it in a text editor first.
- OpenVPN Connect refuses the login. Copy the username and password again; they are case sensitive.
- The tunnel is active but nothing loads. Deactivate, then activate again. If that does not help, download a fresh file for the same device number.
- Another device keeps dropping. Two devices share a device number. Give the computer its own.
- Nothing connects on a work or school network. Some networks block VPN connections. Stealth mode works with v2rayN on Windows. Follow the rules of the network you use.

Plans and what they include
Every plan has the same features and differs only in length: 1 month for €5, 3 months for €14, 6 months for €25 or 12 months for €45. Prices as of October 2026, from €3.75 a month. Each plan covers up to 3 devices at the same time and includes the OpenVPN profile for IPTV apps and WireGuard for TVs, phones and computers, plus stealth mode for networks that block VPN connections.
